Furnishing your appartment – ON A BUDGET!

Hi!

I recently moved to a flat in Paris to get closer to my University. This is the first time I’m living on my own which makes me so excited!

As I love interior design and homewear I am thrilled to start decorating everything and organizing the space the way I want it to be. I can’t wait to have a whole appartment being 100% me!

However, student issues, I need to do that on a budget which constrains me a little me. BUT THAT SHALL NOT BE A PROBLEM! There are so many cool ideas and tips to decorate your flat on a budget – and I have been pinning them all along the years so this is a great opportunity to explore them!

Decorate with what?!

Today’s Song!

Hi guys!

Today I will suggest to all of you an idea of decoration that you might have never thought of. But first let me contextualize this little story for you.

Relevant fact #1 – I have this huge white wall in front of my bed – don’t know what to do with it
Relevant fact #2 – Just found a little scarf with the American flag in one of my mom’s drawer (we all love to see the cute stuff our mothers own!)

So today, I was looking at that scarf.. it had such a squared shape, I was like.. is this a scarf? a flag? And to see if it was a flag, I put it against the wall.. and then…

What if I used flags to decorate that big wall ?!!

 I think that’s a great idea, because the main problem that I have when trying to think about a piece of art or so to put on these walls is that I am afraid of getting tired of it.
But I’ve always loved travelling, be in contact with different cultures and of course english speaking countries! As you may know I am european but I love the USA and the UK.
The brand Gant characterizes itself like so: “Combines the traditional American style with an European flair“.

Guys.. that’s me! And I think those countries kind of illustrate that as well. 🙂

Today’s Song!

Hi guys!

I was strolling on bloglovin (completely obsessed – my ritual every night!) and find this very cool article on http://apairandasparediy.com. I definitely recommend that you check it out because it has some amazing posts.

I love that new concept of shelves decorating your rooms and not only have a practical end. I agree with that perspective.

I kept these two pictures from her site because I found them really cute:

Now talking about serious stuff! As you may know I’m doing the decoration of my bedroom. You may knw from my previous posts that I absolutely love white bedrooms but I think it is nice and girly to have some bright touches (see this post).

SO, I thinks I would put on those shelves, an R like the D you can see on the pic. I would put, a vase with some nice flowers as well, some cute books and fancy magazine, souvenirs from my trips, and some vintage cute objects. I may add a some pictures and inspiring quotes in nice frames.

Let’s have a break!

As you may know I have been wanting to get away from my town for a few days in order to relax and just breathe a different air.

I was thinking about spending a week end in a hotel or so and enjoy all the amazing services inside of it.

There are some key moments that I love when staying in a hotel. First, fiding my bedroom in the corridors, then discovering the actual room (the bathroom, the beds, the closet, the view, THE MINI BAR!), finally enjoy as I told the services meaning, dining room (breakfast!), room service, swimming pool, spa etc. (AAH!)

But yes, to me the breakfast really is a big deal! So I would like to ask you what do you prefer?
