Spotted Dogs

DALMATIANS.

Now, don’t call me creep. I’m no Cruella Devil. But for the good old dog lover that I am, this breed is just adorable.

They are such elegant creatures with a strong body and beautiful posture – so often used for fashion photography! – and yet they are all covered in spots which just adds this extra touch of fun that HAS to put a smile on your face.

In other words I love how classy these dogs look but yet not being taken too seriously. It is exactly the spirit of the blog and it is exactly what I enjoy the most about life and people in general.

So here goes a short mood board where I tried to select pictures all over the internet that illustrated my point.

I hope you enjoy 🙂

Videography: Jake Terrey

Hi,

Today I wanted to share with you the work of Jake Terrey, an amazing photographer that has work with many artists and brands such as Vogue Australia.

I first discovered his job with this amazing Miranda Kerr videography (or motion photography as he calls it in his website).

Videography:  the art of taking pictures with a videocamera.

I think it is an incredible form of art. In fact it captures a certain emotion that does not come through pictures but that does comes along with the effort of posing for a picture. Very interesting and beautiful.

Plus his work is very delicate and trendy which I absolutely love.

Cheers to him.

Cheers to you,

Week Wrap Up

Hello everyone,

I thought I would share some more personal things on the blog and sharing with you the highlight of my week. I would love for you to share them as well in the comments this way we can all learn from eachother and discover new things all around the world.

As I’m appartment hunting in Paris, I have plenty of time to wander around the city and explore coffeshops, stores, exhibs, among many others.

1) A very exciting discovery was Artazart. If you are not familiar, Artazart is an amazing design bookstore. They have a huge selection of any type of design book you would be looking for, some are more graphic, some more intellectual. Some are amazing coffee table books, others are great tools to start creating (wether it is a company, a interior space, an art collection, a diy, you name it!)

And if these lines weren’t covincing enough I would suggest you to check out the tripadvisor reviews this store has. And trust me, these reviews are well deserved.

Here are some book that I stumbled upon and loved (some are only in French sorry):

And THIS, how cool is it? First notebook made out of stone. What?!! ❤

2) Exhib : L’Amérique des Kennedy – “Kennedy’s America”

This was a lovely exhib, the gallery is absolutely gorgeous and I got to learn many new things especially about Robert Kennedy and the whole family.

3) White Nail Polish + White Loafers

Let me know if this is something you would like to see more often! And please, let me know what are YOUR highlights of the week. 🙂

How to finally sleep well during those hot summer nights!

PicMonkey CollagePictures: *planete-deco.fr, *parachute.com (bedding),

*Have fresh crisp sheets
Is it me or do they ACTUALLY feel cooler?

* Spread lavender scents
They will sooth your mind like nothing else.

* Invest in an electric fan
This is key to have some cool air flowing in the bedroom (if you don’t have AC of course) and another tip is to have prepared the room beforehand by shutting the blinds during the day. This way the room will be fresh when it’s time to go to bed. Heard that leaving a wet towel drying throughout the day was very useful. Let me know if you test this!

* Wear some cute PJ’s
When I was younger I used to sleep with a big t-shirt when it was too hot. But you end up having way more fabric on you than you would have with a cute short and top ensemble.
Plus you’ll look amazing while you sleep which is always a plus, right? 😉

* Keep the tech away
It just adds in some heat. Instead of that, opt for a nice book or a magazine, or just note down your thoughts regarding that day and your plans for the day after (that’s what I have been doing – and I have been loving it – see instagram post here)!

* Reduce the lighting
To prepare for the night and start getting relaxed.

* Put on some smooth music
Same spirit – are you relaxed yet?

* Keep your little peaking out your cover sheets!
There you go, feeling the fresh air from the fan…

I think a big part of feeling less hot and overwhelmed during those very warm nights is really to calm down and make your whole system slow down.

So most of all, R-E-L-A-X

Cheers,
