Furnishing your appartment – ON A BUDGET!

Hi!

I recently moved to a flat in Paris to get closer to my University. This is the first time I’m living on my own which makes me so excited!

As I love interior design and homewear I am thrilled to start decorating everything and organizing the space the way I want it to be. I can’t wait to have a whole appartment being 100% me!

However, student issues, I need to do that on a budget which constrains me a little me. BUT THAT SHALL NOT BE A PROBLEM! There are so many cool ideas and tips to decorate your flat on a budget – and I have been pinning them all along the years so this is a great opportunity to explore them!

Here is a selection of my moodboard for the flat – you can find the rest of it hereĀ (I will keep updating it) as well of the rest of my Pinterest boards here!

My long lasting flowers

Hi everyone,

As I am sure the most part of you is experiencing right now, weather is getting colder and sunlight is getting shyer. THIS CALLS for happiness, colors and life into our houses ladies and gentlemen.

I have been getting many plants and flowers that I wether buy, that I am given as gifts or even that I pick yp in my own garden.

If some of you are still struggling with poor lasting in flowers, let me give you a quick tip or two.

#1: CHANGE THEM: Change the water of your flowers regularly.

#2: TREAT THEM: Trim the stems of every single flower diagonally

#3: FEED THEM: If you are not against some chemicals here in there, try to get those little bags of “flowers food” – a type of powder that make them last longer. & hair spray the flowers! Ā If you are against the use of chemicals I am no expert but I know that you can add to your water a little bit of soda, vinegar, vodka, coins, sugar,

Oh those funky babies.

Homebar Inspiration

Inspo Board

1234

I am in this particular phase of summer where everyone around me is Ā wrapping up summertime and planning for their projects next year. Although we are still in vacation, I can feel things slowing down a little bit and moving towards what I like to call “The September Vibe”.

I have been catching up with a bunch of friends lately, telling eachother our vacation and it has been great. And for those little gathering parties, I have to say, a good homebar is a must!

I decided to create this inspiration board to share how I would personally style mine. As you may have seen in other posts, I love a good minimalist decoration. So really, sharing my must haves in a inspo board was kind of hard, but I stumbled upon all these pictures which really are a good reflection of what you would be able see on top of my homebar.

Here are my personal must haves:

Nice Furniture:Ā I found this bar stool on Chairish.com, a website that is specialized in vintage furniture. They have gorgeous pieces that I highly invite you to check out.

Fresh Plants: Having some fresh plants, flowers OR – a single jumbo leaf in a vase. I saw that on a recent post from apairandasparediy.comĀ and I absolutely loved it. It is just so simple, chic and it really is not that hard to find.

Drinks and Snacks: If I was to entertain a small group or just a friend or two, I would definitely chill around the bar with a bottle of wine, cheese, some nuts and fresh fruit. Because I mean you know.. you have to treat yourself šŸ˜‰

Cosy Lighting: Another must-have for me are those long hanging lights. I think they dress up the room so nicely, and if you want a more cosy room, turning all the bigger lights off and leaving these on, gives such a nice atmosphere.

How would you personally style your home bar?

Here goes the first Do It Yourself (DIY) article!

You feel like having a nice and quick little sandwich for a snack or so? I found this very cute way of customizing your sandwiches. I think it is so cute, can wait for doing it! It is the easiest thing to do – follow the steps on the Sugar and Cloth blog (which I love) and discover how to transform something random into something special.
