Spotted Dogs

DALMATIANS.

Now, don’t call me creep. I’m no Cruella Devil. But for the good old dog lover that I am, this breed is just adorable.

They are such elegant creatures with a strong body and beautiful posture – so often used for fashion photography! – and yet they are all covered in spots which just adds this extra touch of fun that HAS to put a smile on your face.

In other words I love how classy these dogs look but yet not being taken too seriously. It is exactly the spirit of the blog and it is exactly what I enjoy the most about life and people in general.

So here goes a short mood board where I tried to select pictures all over the internet that illustrated my point.

I hope you enjoy 🙂

Hello

As you can see, I haven’t been the best at blogging over the last few months, I could find a thousand excuses for this but really, I believe that this is due to the content I was publishing until now and that does not correspond to me anymore.

So I want to redirect the content of the blog towards something than is more me, that can help me grow and hopefully help you as well in some ways.

From now on, the blog will focus towards three main themes: Fashion, Lifestyle and Career.

I am passionate about fashion, exploring new trends and expressing myself with what I wear so I will keep sharing my favorite pieces, trends and brands.

I feel like lifestyle is really a buzz word nowadays (but I love it so much!). My personal lifestyle – which I intend to share here – is a beautiful, gentle, sophisticated yet down to earth, and also very fun way of living. I will focus on the material and unmaterial aspects (from what to put in your living room to what you put in your brain).

Finally, the career theme will explore subjects related to a bunch of different careers such as entrepreneurship, marketing, design among others. Hopefully, interviews between amazing professionals and I will inspire you!

We will see how this works out. Let me know your opinion on this, every contribution and collaboration is welcome!

Cheers,

HD Pinterest: The Red List

001-willy-ronis-theredlist* By Willy Ronis (found on theredlist.com)

Hi!

Ok, that title was meant to be catchy. Let me introduce The Red List to you.

This is their way of introducing themselves:

The Red List organizes and concentrates the wealth of images to be found online. After all, what is a list if not a tool to manage infinity? So to manage the Internet’s visual infinity, the Red List is organized by genres – photography, cinema, fine art, fashion, and so on – with lists inside each genre to guide image researchers.

Theredlist.com

I got introduced to it thanks to Stylist Magazine France, presenting its founder Delphine de Canecaude, who enables you to create your own trend book and share it on facebook. Now THAT spoke to me immediately.
If you are interested in seeing the different steps of her career so far, I highly you recommend checking out the article here (french version).

So you understood it, this website consists in creating a huge artisitic database. Over there you will be able to find beautiful content: photography, videos, furniture design among many others.

SCREENSHOT
And what I like about it is that not only, the different sources have been carefully selected but you DO know the different sources. As I guess many of you are, I am quite the Pinterest fan, but I think that it’s pity how many sources of information you lose through pinning and quoting. On the Red List that does not happen. You will be able to get to know the artists and their work in a fullier way.

THE RED LIST IS SELECTIVE.
It offers a selection of articles, which don’t pretend to be encyclopaedic, written by passionate experts [click] – architects, designers, specialist journalists and academics – who have long travelled the world of images and who aren’t afraid to make choices. The Red List will not be pressured into featuring any artists.

COLLECTION ON THE SPOT: Claudie Pierlot FW15

Hello!

I’ve never talked about Claudie Pierlot over here, and I have to confess my interest for the brand has grown exponentially since I came back to Paris in order to pursue my studies.

For the ones who might not be familiar with the famous french brand, here are some quick notes: Claudie Pierlot was founded by the incredibly talented stylist giving her own name to the company in 1984.

As her husband explains in THE CUTEST VIDEO EVER, she first started designing her collection for herself as she would not feel comfortable wearing the trends that were “in” at her time. She wanted to design very feminine and elegant pieces, for “the women of paris”.

“La petite parisienne piquante, comme on les adore.” M. Pierlot
“The spicy parisian girl, as we love them” Mr. Pierlot

Those are classy and timeless pieces that I invite you to discover through my favorite picks from the current collection.

Overall I would say the latter is very minimal but there is an incredible work that creates a tomboy effect, yet all in glamour and sensuality. Love it!

P&F Claudie Pierlot burgundy and red outfit

Stunning piece. French “je ne sais quoi” on point.

This top is perfection to me. Looks like a dressy polo.
I mean, what else?

Sans titre 1

Love the pairing of leather pants and that very dressed down t-shirt.
Super casual look with a slight edge.

Sans titre 4

But this one. Oh the love. This screams my name. Shoes, pants, top.
❤ ❤
Plus that red and burgundy combo never really crossed my mind and I think it looks great!
What do you think?

Overall is a collection you enjoy? Check out more here.

Let me know if you want me to write more of these posts!

Art Gallery: Hotel Room by Vanya Milicevic

Hi,

You know sometimes, I hang out on Pinterest and stumble upon such nice boards, that I think they could be an art gallery.

The one I want to introduce you to today, was created by Vanya Milicevic (and you can explore her whole account – it is pretty perfect)

I found this board so interesting. She called it Hotel Room and gathered, well, hotel/bedroom pictures. What I thought was very interesting about the collection is that you could see the different atmospheres that one can feel while in a hotel room. I gathered my three favorite ones which are what I call, the Smart Moments (staying in your room to get ready for a meeting, read, study, work), the Cosy Moments (hanging out with your friends, enjoy a relaxing bath, laying down, wearing your most comfortable pj’s and jump onto a fresh made bed) and finally the more Sexy Moments (no explanation needed).
