COLLECTION ON THE SPOT: Claudie Pierlot FW15

Hello!

I’ve never talked about Claudie Pierlot over here, and I have to confess my interest for the brand has grown exponentially since I came back to Paris in order to pursue my studies.

For the ones who might not be familiar with the famous french brand, here are some quick notes: Claudie Pierlot was founded by the incredibly talented stylist giving her own name to the company in 1984.

As her husband explains in THE CUTEST VIDEO EVER, she first started designing her collection for herself as she would not feel comfortable wearing the trends that were “in” at her time. She wanted to design very feminine and elegant pieces, for “the women of paris”.

M. Pierlot
“The spicy parisian girl, as we love them” Mr. Pierlot

Those are classy and timeless pieces that I invite you to discover through my favorite picks from the current collection.

Overall I would say the latter is very minimal but there is an incredible work that creates a tomboy effect, yet all in glamour and sensuality. Love it!

Stunning piece. French “je ne sais quoi” on point.

This top is perfection to me. Looks like a dressy polo.
I mean, what else?

Sans titre 1

Love the pairing of leather pants and that very dressed down t-shirt.
Super casual look with a slight edge.

Sans titre 4

But this one. Oh the love. This screams my name. Shoes, pants, top.
❤ ❤
Plus that red and burgundy combo never really crossed my mind and I think it looks great!
What do you think?

Overall is a collection you enjoy? Check out more here.

Let me know if you want me to write more of these posts!

I miss going to many fashion/design events as I used to do back in September. I gave priority to my other activities this winter and mainly university. I hope I will have the opportunity to go back to these events soon.

Those of you who live/know Paris, are you aware of some nice upcoming activities?

Many many many of you may know this by now. I got some Stan Smith sneakers for my birthday back in October and I have been absolutely loving them. They are super comfortable, go with everything and they always give a casual touch yet sophisticated thanks to the Midas touch (got it? Gold 😉 – so P&F). Follow me around and see more snaps of my own Stan Smith here!

Vraiment vraiment sympa! Bravo pour cette collection!

French brand featured on the blog today.
If you follow me on instagram, you may have seen a short video that I filmed while wandering around Paris last Sunday. I had an amazing – very spontaneous day, where I grabbed my bag and camera and started walking around and taking some snaps here and there, discovering new stores, concepts, coffee shops, decoration and so on.

One of my biggest surprise was stubling upon l’Art du Basic, that I did not know before and OH MAN – that was a lovely discovery.

I really think it’s useless to go back to my love for a good minimal look or to how much my trip to Copenhagen changed my life (well, almost!). In any case I absolutely loved that brand. It has wonderful clean cuts without beeing too classic, fine fabric, and that little something that adds some mystery to the collection with a hint of tomboy vibe (100% me 😉 ). Very very nice concept. Congratulations!

😉 ). Um excelente trabalho. Parabéns!

 My personal faves:

I’m a huge lover of these deep V necks. So glamourous.  The off white dress has kind of the same vibe going, but in a more sutle way, easier for the daily basis and to brighten up the rainy days #whiteinwinter

robes

Regarding these last two, what can I say beside that I love how tomboyish these styles look. However the cuts keep the feminine aspect very present which make everything very lovely.

tomboy swag

I never use the word swag. But look at that last pause. That is minimal/tomboy swag! Love it.

Those are nice pants!

Hi everyone!

Last Sunday, I went to the grocery store to do some shopping for the week. I saw there this very pretty woman with those GORGEOUS lime pants! I never really paid much attention to this color in fashion.. always thought it was too bright, to harsh to combine with other colors and materials..
But when I saw her wearing it…! :O It was so so pretty. She paired it with a nice white t-shirt, a  black blazer and some cute black flats.

I got back home and immediately went to Zara’s website to see if they had it! BINGO – found one that looks pretty much the same – here – can wait to go to the mall and try it!

In the same craziness, I went to pinterest.com and tried to look for other pieces of fashion in the same colors and ways to wear my (maybe) future pants!

Take a look and tell me what you think!
