GUESS WHO HAD A BABY?!

Not me (yet)! Ahh – come one, did I fool you? haha

That could have explained my complete absence from the blogosphere (and the whole internet – truly sorry about that) but as you may know already I started a new job and this first month has been particularly intense. I will be back on track on March I promise. Until then I will try to post as much as I can on FB – where I usually share my favorite finds of the internet.

– But back to this actual post –

LACOSTE & JCREW HAD A BABY

Two of my absolute favorite brands collaborated and launched their collection online yesterday!

I only saw that news yesterday while scrolling down on my instagram and was so so happy.

Both prep’ giants worked on a polo collection that is described perfectly in the The Fashion Spot.

The shirts are an updated throwback, inspired by the 1983 version of Lacoste’s alligator logo, rendered in blue as opposed to the green we’re used to seeing. – WWD

Available in three colorways, J.Crew switched it up with an archive style straight from 1983 that swaps out the traditional green crocodile for a blue one that’s detailed with a Lacoste cursive font inside the logo. The shirt’s fit has also been updated with a slimmer cut and features notched tennis tails. – Acquiremag.com

This is such an amazing idea – these are both great brands and I personally think that Jcrew has been doing an amazing job in teaming up with some great other leaders in an important range of market. Well done you two!

Spending the Day in Nice FRENCH RIVIERA #2

The city of Nice may be the most famous of the Côte d’Azur. I love how it is a perfect mix between the touristy areas and the more typical ones: The English Promenade Vs. The Old Nice.

Along the sea you will find the English Promenade and if you walk towards the inner part of the city, you will find the old town. Both sides are absolutely gorgeous and I think it is so beautiful how the whole landscape changes. You will pass from perfect turquoise water on the beach, to warm yellow and orange houses surrounded by cute little restaurants.

We arrived in Nice in the morning, went to a restaurant on the beach to enjoy a nice cup of coffee and chilled there listening to pretty cool smooth music.

After that, we went back on the promenade and took a bunch of pictures because all the colors were looking absolutely amazing.

We then decided to climb the famous Castle Hill – not hard at all to climb and the views we got to see made us speechless. We stumbled upon a wonderful park with a lot of kids and families having picnics – it was so cute!

After coming down the hill we decided to go for lunch in the old town and had the very typical “socca” ( a type of tortilla/corn pancake), amazing warm goat cheese salad, and mussels. It was delicious! Of course we could not enjoy it to the max without a little glass of Rosé 😉

Overall it was an absolutely wonderful day and if you go there I highly recommend living the whole experience. Try to explore the city as much as you can!

Casual Afternoon in Monaco FRENCH RIVIERA #1

So I got to spend a week in the South of France this month and wanted to share with you some relaxing and beautiful days spent there to hopefully give you some inpiration for your vacations or just day dream a bit.

An afternoon in Monaco :

– We walked around the quiet streets of the upper part of the coast

– Visited the Royal Palace and enjoyed the view from one of the highest spots of Monaco

– Went down to the Marina to see the gorgeous boats

– Headed to Monte Carlo to seet the high end shops, luxury hotels and of course THE gorgeous Casino

We stopped at the Hotel de Paris for a drink at the Bar Américain. I highly recommend this place. Cocktails are not cheap but affordable and the whole experience is definitely worth it. The décor is splendid very 1930’s, everything is very woody, a wonderful piano stands making you think about all the great concerts this place may have known in the past and the current excellent ones. You can definitely feel the jazz vibe and we all know my love for it. THE PLUS SIDE: Cocktails come with delicious snacks and the staff personnel is the best you could ask for.

Vilebrequin – The Preppy and Funny Brand

I have never mentioned Vilebrequin on my blog before but let me tell you this is one of my favorite brands ever for men swimwear.

Vilebrequin is highly known for its excellent quality fabrics, unique patterns with fun and vivid prints and finally the possibility of buying matching trunks for little boys and grownups for the father & son look.

This brand was created in the fabulous city of St-Tropez, in the French Riviera and embodies the whole croisette lifestyle.
– Early mornings having breakfast to the sound of cicadas
– Coffee & Newspaper reading at the Marina
– Lunch at the beach

– Night out (optional but good!)

In other words, the brand echoes a pretty prep lifestyle that I am all about. And what I love about it is that the funky prints will prevent the chic allure to become too posh looking. In fact you would expect the 40 year old man, matching his 4 year old with its turtle green and pink swim shorts, to be pretty cool, laid back and FUN.

In other words, this is definitely a P&F Brand to me and if you can get your loved ones a model from there – you would be the coolest!
