Hi!
If you were to ask me one of my favorite moments in a day, I would most likely answer BREAKFAST. But sometimes I just like to sleep in a bit (ok, many times). This is where brunch comes as a powerful magic trick providing instant joy and comfort.
I love how brunch is just having late breakfast + adding a ton of salty treats, and it lasts for HOURS.
This is why, when Paperless Post reached out to me to reflect on what a perfect brunch woud be, I immediately felt excited about the idea! Paperless Post is a company that helps you create personalized invitations and stationary (online and paper!). I highly recommend heading out to their website to see all the creative ideas and nice content they have!
#1 –> PEOPLE
As brunch often happens on a Sunday, this is a time for you to enjoy with your close friends and family. People who really make you happy and enable you to just be yourself and laugh until your stomach hurts. It is the perfect time to relax after a tough week, so it better be with who you really want to be with. 😉
(Edit: as I was re-reading this article I thought about the LOL Project – that I highly suggest you to check. It is basically a creative project consisting on catching genuine laughter. Sold!)
#2 –> FOOD
Delicious bread, butter, jam, eggs TONS of eggs, pancakes, savoury tarts, coffee, tea, fruit and juice! Those are my personal favorites!
#3 –> DECOR
Yellow is key to me. It’s happiness, it’s sunshine, it’s good energy – love it! As it matches very nicely with blue, these would be my two colors for brunch.
These colors would then be reflected on the invitations, that I imagine very delicate and danty (see moodboard under this), font would be bold to create an interesting contrast – and of course – a joke or two would be hiding somewhere.
#4 –> PLAYLIST
Depending on if this is a very girly brunch or not I would go for either a very bubbly, cocooning playlist (e.g Pete Yorn, Scarlett Johansson – Relator), or a good old Bossa Nova one.
#5 –> OUTFIT
As this is a relaxed time all together, I don’t think there is any right or wrong way to dress. Personnaly I would just go for something very comfortable that makes me feel great. For this time of year I’d go for a breezy oversized white shirt, some jeans and fun flat shoes.
I would love to hear back from you and see what YOUR perfect brunch would look like!
Have a great day!
Cheers,
